3¢ Brown Marler Type 6A

  • On page 485, Marler provides the identification details for his type 6A as "The vertical line in the upper left and lower left and part of the oval line between the left crown and leaf 4 in the lower left have been retouched".

    Previous to the analysis of Marler's personal collection, it was possible to plate only a handful of the 260 plate positions of Type 6A. Now we are able to offer likely positions for over 100. It is possible that a study of the few available multiples may add to this total.

We use Statser to measure basic website usage without cookies. The system processes page views, clicks, form submissions without form contents, referrers, browser/device information, error pages, approximate visit duration, and pseudonymous visitor keys. Full IP addresses are not stored permanently by Statser; they are processed briefly on the server to create a pseudonymous visitor key, apply technical exclusions, and optionally resolve approximate GeoIP information. If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
